A path towards consciousness and conscience
The Gurdjieff Work is for people who wish to move beyond the concerns and satisfactions of life to pursue questions that speak to our essential being.
The Rochester Gurdjieff Center exists to help members sincerely see and struggle with various parts of themselves in order to come into contact with a deeper state of consciousness.
Through special practices of attention, the Gurdjeff Work provides a method for men and women to open to a level of awareness that we may have only glimpsed in the past. It's a path based on direct experience rather than belief, capable of leading the serious student toward a more intelligent, compassionate, and natural existence rooted in consciousness.
A 4-week Introduction to the Work will begin on Monday, October 22nd. You'll have a chance to learn about the main ideas of the Gurdjieff tradition, explore Gurdjieff practices in your daily life, and ask questions about the Work based on your own experience.
No prior experience is necessary, just a serious wish to connect with others engaged in a meaningful inner search.
